Meet Gwendy Hartsell, Owner and Lead Instructor of 2A Empowerment Training

My name is Gwendy Hartsell, owner and lead instructor at 2A Empowerment Training. Growing up on a small ranch in the Colorado Springs area instilled in me the values of personal responsibility, and respect for firearms from an early age. Those values continue to guide both my personal life and my approach to training today.

After retiring from a long and successful career in Information Technology Leadership, I chose to pursue my passion for leading others and firearms. Today, I combine decades of leadership, coaching, and mentoring experience with my commitment to firearm safety and responsible ownership. As a competitive shooter and professional instructor, I understand the importance of discipline, continual learning, and building confidence through proper training.

I am dedicated to helping students become safe, confident, and responsible firearm owners. Whether you're new to firearms, seeking your Concealed Handgun Permit, or looking to improve your skills through personalized coaching, my goal is to provide practical, effective instruction in a welcoming and supportive learning environment.

I believe that firearms training should go beyond simply meeting legal requirements. Every course is designed to emphasize safe firearm handling, responsible ownership, situational awareness, and the confidence needed to make sound decisions both on and off the range.

I founded 2A Empowerment Training because I believe every firearm owner deserves access to high-quality instruction that promotes safety, confidence, and responsible ownership. My mission is to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to safely exercise their Second Amendment rights while fostering a culture of lifelong learning and personal accountability.
